Peanuts inaugurates brand space at SOS Mata Atlântica Foundation headquarters
08 de November de 2023
The headquarters of the SOS Mata Atlântica Foundation, where its Forest Experimentation Center (CEF) is located, now houses a space of the Peanuts™ brand. The Snoopy and Friends Educational Space in the Atlantic Forest was created to welcome school visits, allowing the public to learn about and interact with the Atlantic Forest. It explores, in a didactic and playful manner, topics such as climate, environment, native fruits, and birds, among others.
The launch is scheduled for November 8, 2023, in Itu, São Paulo, for a closed audience.
After the event, the target audience for visits will be students in Basic Education, and it will be open from Monday to Saturday with free admission. Starting on the Saturday following the inauguration, on November 11, it will be possible to sign up for a visit. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the "Take Care with Peanuts" project and participate in interactive activities such as a memory game about flora and fauna, the Atlantic Forest in cities, parks and fields, and a true or false game.
"Preservation and care for the environment are causes that Peanuts always seeks to raise awareness of through its projects and comics featuring Snoopy and Charlie Brown characters. We know that SOS Mata Atlântica is an organization that fights for and encourages activities focused on quality of life and care, which is why we made it a point to participate in this important initiative to promote forest recovery, the appreciation of parks and reserves, and the protection of water and the sea," emphasizes Carla Neves, Senior Director of Territory Management, Latin America, at Peanuts.
The "Take Care with Peanuts" initiative is an invitation to self-care, care for others, and care for the Earth through the characters created by Charles Schulz. The themes are humorously addressed in animated videos for children, involving social media and pop-up experiences, among other opportunities.
The SOS Mata Atlântica Foundation is a non-profit organization created in 1986 with a mission to inspire society in the defense of the Atlantic Forest, the most devastated biome in Brazil. Among the activities it carries out are monitoring deforestation in the biome, environmental education, forest restoration projects, actions to improve environmental legislation, communication, and engaging people.
"We are very happy to have Peanuts with us in this essential project to bring more environmental awareness to children and teenagers and, consequently, contribute to the protection of nature. We are confident that this space dedicated to the Take Care project will be a success and will encourage young people to take better care of our planet and the Atlantic Forest, where about 70% of the Brazilian population lives," says Afra Balazina, Director of Mobilization at SOS Mata Atlântica.
